For the 5th year we are holding our SDG life event in The Museum of Kyoto and are thrilled to announce you the theme of 2026 :
Knot Furoshiki Not Waste
Use a Furoshiki, Reduce waste
"What is the link between Furoshiki and waste reduction ?" you may ask.
Discover the answer through games, upcycling workshop and furoshiki workshop.
Complete all the challenges and get a free Furoshiki!
It might change your point of view on your everyday life.
Time : From Friday 10th to Sunday 12th of April 2026
Place : The Museum of Kyoto Annex
Sanjo-Takakura, Nakagyo Ward, Kyoto, KYOTO 604-8183 (京都市中京区三条高倉)
Fees : The entry is free, some of the workshop require a small fee.
Age : This event is suitable is for all ages.

Stamp Rally
Answer the quizz and complete the challenges to discover more about the cycle of waste and how to use furoshiki to reduce your waste. The first 500 person to complete the rally will get a free Furoshiki as a present.

Workshops
Furoshiki Workshop
Discover all the possible usages of a single Furoshiki by participating to our Furoshiki workshop. It will be animated by our Art Director Ms. Etsuko Yamada.

Embroidered Brooch upcycling workshop
Create your own personalised brooch by embroidering furoshiki scraps left over from the manufacturing process.
