Produktinformation
Product Description
This pattern is inspired by a knot, the overlapping lines symbolizing lasting bonds between people. As the original designed was hand-carved with a knife to create a traditional printing frame called kakishibu katagami, the lines naturally vary in thickness, giving the pattern a distinctive, handcrafted charm.
It is the ideal gift for wedding, but its meaning is not limited to romance — it represents the ties that connect people in general, and can therefore be used in return for a gift or a favor, or to celebrate any kind of relationships.

REVERSIBLE INOVATION
Creating a reversible Furoshiki with a fabric as thin as the water-repellent one is a real technical challenge. Achieving well-balanced coloration on both sides of the fabric, despite its ultra-thin, Aqua Drop–specific weave, is a rare accomplishment.
This technique—skillfully controlling dye penetration from both sides of an exceptionally delicate cloth—has been made possible by the expertise artisans oh Kyoto.

RE-FREE INOVATION
We have improved our water-repellent formula to a more sustainable, PFAS-free version (does not use fluorinated compounds), developed with careful consideration for both human health and the environment. The new coating is applied to the same fabric as before—55% recycled polyester—making this furoshiki even more sustainable than it was previously.
* Compared to the previous water-repellent formula, the water-repellency power is slightly diminished, but the people and environment will be better protected.
Isa collection
The patterns of the Isa Monyo collection are directly inspired by designs from the 1920s – Showa period (late 1940s), preserved at the Isa Monyo Research Institute, founded by Kunio Isa. These patterns offer a surprisingly modern interpretation of traditional Japanese motifs such as pine trees and chrysanthemums.
