Wrapping is

When we look at the kanji 
, meaning “to wrap.”
The central component is said to represent a baby in its mother's womb.
The character is believed to originate from the image of a mother carefully protecting and nurturing the life she carries.
In other words, for Japanese people, the act of wrapping is more than simply covering an object.
It expresses care, respect, and thoughtfulness
Decorate, unwrap, reuse.
In Japanese culture, wrapping a gift is more than simply concealing what is inside.
It is a way of expressing care, gratitude, and respect.
Reusable and timeless, furoshiki carries this spirit

Fancle Ginza Square in Tokyo
For Christmas 2024, MUSUBI collaborated with FANCL Ginza Square to present our first Christmas-themed installation.
The entrance and interior were beautifully decorated with Christmas-themed furoshiki, featuring displays made with recycled fabrics and RE. FUROSHIKI.
Kawaii München in Munich
For Christmas 2025, MUSUBI collaborated with Kawaii München in Munich to create a charming Christmas display. The Christmas tree was decorated with suspended furoshiki-wrapped ornaments, creating a festive and joyful holiday atmosphere.
TSUTAYA BOOKS in Fukuoka
For Christmas 2023, MUSUBI collaborated with TSUTAYA BOOKS in Fukuoka to create a festive Christmas display. The display mainly featured furoshiki with traditional Japanese red patterns, creating a beautiful blend of Japanese tradition and the Christmas spirit.
MUSUBI in Kyoto
This was MUSUBI Kyoto's Christmas display for 2025. A half-round Christmas tree was placed against the wall to create a space-efficient yet eye-catching display. Green furoshiki-wrapped decorations were arranged at the base of the tree, creating a retro, handcrafted aesthetic with an authentic Japanese touch
PUZDRO in Warsaw
This was MUSUBI's collaboration with PUZDRO Warsaw. The display created a peaceful Christmas atmosphere with a timeless design that could be enjoyed throughout the season. Wave-like suspended furoshiki-wrapped ornaments were installed along the display windows, while simple wrapped decorations above the wall shelves added subtle festive accents to the interior.
